Carmen is strong in business management, having spent considerable time on employment and labor issues, sales and marketing and general management. She worked more than 12 years with Inter-Continental Hotels Group serving as general manager of hotels in Irvine, California; Austin, Texas; and Denver, Colorado. Immediately prior to law school, Carmen was general manager of the former Crowne Plaza at the United Nations in New York City.
Before joining Eversheds Sutherland (US), Carmen was the Snyder Visiting Scholar at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at Cambridge University. Carmen was a varsity swimmer at Indiana University-Bloomington.
Carmen currently serves on the firm’s Hiring and Pro Bono Committees.

Served as nationwide counsel for an independent broker-dealer in a series of related regulatory matters, class actions and arbitrations concerning Regulation D offerings and other alternative investments.
Won a $38 million verdict against a major pharmaceutical company and former employee in a misappropriation of trade secrets case.
