Laura Taylor focuses her practice on employee benefits and executive compensation, tax and wealth planning matters. She regularly counsels clients on compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), as well as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), HIPAA, GINA and various other federal and state laws relevant to health and welfare plans.

Laura works with tax-qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements, welfare plans and other areas of employee benefits law. Her experience also includes working on compensation and employment issues associated with business transactions, including performing due diligence and negotiating and preparing contract provisions.

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland (US), Laura served as an associate with a large national law firm in Baltimore, Maryland. There, she also focused her practice on employee benefits and executive compensation matters. Additionally, Laura gained substantial experience in sell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition transactions, where she assisted clients on the disposition of benefits plans in numerous deals across a wide range of industries.
