Patricia C. Buxton



Patricia Buxton advises investment advisers, mutual funds and business development companies (BDCs) on general corporate governance issues and US federal securities laws and regulations promulgated by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Patricia also advises insurance companies and financial institutions on a wide range of insurance regulatory and transactional matters, including product development, financing, reporting and compliance issues.

She also assists clients on a wide range of corporate transactions, including their capital raising efforts, initial public offerings and general corporate governance.

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland (US), Patricia served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Roger W. Titus of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. As a student at Georgetown Law, Patricia founded a 5K fundraising event for special needs students and co-founded the Georgetown Law Entrepreneurship Club. Prior to entering the legal field, Patricia taught special education in Washington, D.C., and Maryland.
