Biography

Ryan Session advises clients on a variety of employee benefits matters, including qualified retirement plans, employment and severance agreements, executive compensation packages and welfare benefit plans. He helps companies meet the complex standards of regulatory regimes, including compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).

Ryan also counsels on fiduciary responsibility and prohibited transaction rules as applied to various investment products.

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland (US) as an associate, Ryan was an employee benefits intern at the firm. His previous experience includes working as a law clerk for a Chicago-based firm, during which time he drafted administrative appeals and litigation claims related to benefits under retirement and welfare benefit plans.

Ryan also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Arlene R. Lindsay of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
