Ms. Jafroodi graduated from the University of California San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and a minor in Foreign Literature. She went on to obtain her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2002, and she became a member of the California State Bar the same year. Upon graduating, Ms. Jafroodi gained two years of experience as a Civil Litigator for a well-known, San Francisco-based, plaintiff’s firm. Advocating for plaintiffs aroused her interest in defense work, and in 2005, she moved back to Southern California to practice Workers' Compensation defense for two very prominent law firms over the last 14 years.
Ms. Jafroodi became a Legal Specialist in Workers’ Compensation in 2014. During her career, she has defended employers, insurers and third party administrators in all aspects of WC claims, including all phases of discovery, creative settlement negotiations, trials and arbitrations. She has defended clients against fraudulent claims, allegations of Serious and Willful misconduct, Wrongful Termination/132a claims, coverage and subrogation issues, contribution and reimbursement issues. Ms. Jafroodi has vast experience representing employers ranging from County entities to private home owners. She has presented numerous case law updates for clients, at which she discussed recent changes in Workers' Compensation law and their practical application.
