About our Westport, CT office

In 1982, Rutkin, Oldham & Griffin, LLC was established by Arnold H. Rutkin, a dedicated trial family law attorney with 47 years of experience. During the past 30 years, our team has grown to include some of the most respected and accomplished family law attorneys in Connecticut - attorneys who are truly committed to the best outcomes for our clients. Our attorneys include Fellows of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, those selected as "Best Lawyers"; "SuperLawyers", "AV Preeminent rated" and members and officers of the Connecticut Bar Association Family Law Section and Executive Committee, among others.

Our team approach and case selectivity

To give you the highest degree of personal service and attention, we limit the number of cases we take and employ a team approach that fits your individual needs. Your team may include a managing lawyer, an associate, a research attorney, a paralegal assistant, and outside forensic financial, custody and other experts where appropriate. This ensures that someone who is well-acquainted with your case is always available to respond to telephone calls and attend to case needs.

Meet our dynamic team of lawyers who are ready to assist you:

-Arnold H. Rutkin

-Sarah S. Oldham

-David W. Griffin

-Kathleen A. Hogan of counsel

-Alexander J. Cuda

In addition to our experienced attorneys, our paralegals and assistants provide you with substantial support and create a warm, professional environment.

Advocates for family law justice

We are devoted to supporting the highest ethics and fairness in family law through aggressive litigation of cases when the circumstances require. Our lawyers have testified for passage of important legislation and have litigated landmark family law cases. For years, members of our firm have worked together to coauthor Connecticut Family Law and Practice, an essential resource for practitioners and judges alike, and often quoted by the Appellate and Supreme Courts of Connecticut.
