John has been singled out by the Illinois Supreme court as a Laureate of the Illinois Bar in 2011. This lawyer has tried over 100 jury cases involving personal injury, landlord tenant, contract, construction, probate and divorce cases involving multiple parties. He was named as partner in the Hinshaw Culbertson firm in 1970. John currently serves as a member of the Character and Fitness Committee of the Illinois Supreme court. He was President of the Illinois Bar Foundation in 1996 through 1998. He still serves on the Lawyers Subsistence Committee of that foundation. Locally he has served as President of the DuPage Bar Association in 1991 well as its General Counsel. John has been a successful mediator of civil cases in Cook as well as DuPage Counties. Civically, John has served as President of the Wheaton United Way and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church.
