Over 25+ years Richard D. O’Dea of O’Dea Law Firm, LLC. has handled several thousand personal injury cases in the Twin Cities, and throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. These cases have involved automobile, motorcycle and trucking accidents, wrongful death, brain injuries, drunk driving and dram shop claims, no-fault benefits denials, uninsured and underinsured motorists, insurance coverage disputes, sexual abuse, work-related injuries, assault/battery, disability benefits, and medical and legal errors. In his earlier years of practice Rich also represented clients in the areas of family law, small business contract disputes, and appeals.

Rich has the experience and skill necessary to resolve your case either by way of settlement, arbitration, court trial or jury trial if necessary. He has an AV Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating pertaining to legal ability and ethical standards. Also, since 2005, on an annual basis, he has been designated a Minnesota Super Lawyer in the area of plaintiff’s personal injury. Super Lawyers is a national company that recognizes exceptional attorneys based upon peer nominations, experience, industry recognition and other factors. No more than 5% of the attorneys in Minnesota are nominated for the Super Lawyer title.

Prior to forming O’Dea Law Firm, LLC., Rich worked for nine years as a sole practitioner, and then for the next fourteen years as a partner at two law firms where he learned the most effective ways to represent clients in the areas of plaintiff’s personal injury and civil litigation. Over the years Rich has successfully resolved numerous cases by way of settlement, court and jury trials, and arbitration.

In addition, to representing clients, since 1997 Rich has served as an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association Minnesota No-Fault Panel. There he acts as a “decision maker” in determining whether or not no-fault insurance benefits should be paid to policyholders following the termination of benefits by their insurance companies. Having represented hundreds of clients in similar disputes has given Rich a thorough understanding of the issues that arise in these types of claims. He also is a member of the Minnesota Association for Justice, the Minnesota State Bar Association, and the Bar Association of Wisconsin.
