Don concentrates in the areas of medical malpractice and serious personal injury. He also has significant experience litigating in a wide variety of areas, including specifically complex business litigation and construction litigation. Don also has extensive experience in the North Carolina Appellate Courts, including arguing in the North Carolina Supreme Court. He is also admitted to practice in Federal Court and has extensive litigation experience there, including arguing at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond. Don is also a certified mediator.
Don is a recognized expert on the subject of automobile insurance coverage. He authored a chapter entitled “Insurance Coverage for Injuries Arising Out of the Use of an Automobile” for the treatise Personal Injury Practice in North Carolina, published by the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. Don is active in the N. C. Advocates for Justice, having served as Chair of the Auto Torts Section, and has lectured in various continuing legal education courses.
