Mr. Schiller concentrates his practice in commercial real estate law. His work encompasses a wide range of commercial real estate transactional and litigation matters throughout New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.

Mr. Schiller's transactional experience includes the acquisition, disposition, leasing and management of office, retail and industrial properties. He also represents special servicers in connection with loan workouts and modifications, foreclosures, REO sales and loan sales. In addition, Mr. Schiller's practice includes seeking municipal and state land use approvals for commercial and residential developments.

Mr. Schiller also has considerable real estate litigation experience representing lenders, developers, and property owners in connection with foreclosure actions, landlord-tenant disputes, prerogative writ actions, and breach of contract matters. In addition, he represents commercial and residential property owners and tenants in tax appeals before the New Jersey Tax Court and county boards of taxation. - Represented the owner of a 147,215 SF Florham Park office building in connection with its lease of the entire property to a clinical-stage cell therapeutics company, which will use the building as its new headquarters and laboratory facilities. The lease is New Jersey’s largest office lease transaction for the first quarter of 2019. In addition to the lease negotiation, Mr. Schiller handled all necessary planning board approvals to permit the tenancy and accommodate proposed improvements on the property in connection with the tenancy
- Represented a property owner in the conversion and leasing of a single-tenant, 225,000 SF, 12 story office building into a multi-tenant building, and the subdivision and sale of 100,000 SF data center adjacent to complex
- Represented a publicly traded company in the portfolio sale of 8 suburban office buildings
- Represented a commercial property owner in connection with the formation of commercial condominium land units at suburban office locations for the purposes of preserving future development rights
- Represented a property owner in connection with obtaining a redevelopment designation for repurposing of vacant office properties
- Represented a private equity firm in connection with negotiation of loan modification, equity acquisition and 75 year extension of ground lease for midtown Manhattan hotel
- Represented a China-based investment group in connection with acquisition of hotel property in midtown Manhattan
- Represented a REIT in connection with acquisition of R&D facility in Hamilton Township, NJ
- Represented a private equity firm in connection with sale of retail, multifamily and industrial properties throughout the northeast region
- Represented a regional developer in contract negotiations to finance, acquire, and redevelop a 6 million square foot waterfront development consisting of residential, retail, office and hotel space, as well as a marina
- Represented a national, multifamily apartment builder and operator in contract negotiations to acquire, develop and manage mixed-use community developments through the NY/NJ/CT tri-state region
- Represented a national housing developer in contract negotiations to acquire, subdivide and develop residential developments throughout New Jersey
- Represented a regional shopping center owner in connection with various retail leasing matters and landlord/tenant disputes
- Represented large residential developers in prerogative writ litigation against municipalities to enforce their Mt. Laurel obligations to provide affordable housing to the region
