He began his legal career in the Judge Advocate General's Corps, serving at Fort Eustis. He is presently a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Florida Bar, the Newport News Bar Association, and member and Past President of the York/Poquoson Bar Association. Roy is also an active participant in his synagogue (serving as President from 1992-1994) and is s past-President of the United Jewish Community of the Virginia Peninsula (1998-2002). Roy, his wife Betty, and their three sons David, Michael and Ethan, reside in the Seaford Township of York County. Recipient: NCCJ-Virginia Humanitarian Award, 2006.
