Experience
- TBDHealthSouth – Served as lead Washington counsel to HealthSouth since 2004, assisting HealthSouth on a range of legislative and regulatory issues facing them as both a health care provider and an employer; have also provided strategic counsel, policy advising, advocacy, legislative drafting, regulatory counsel and other advice as needed.
- Pfizer – Served as Independent Review Organization and outside counsel to insure compliance with a $2.3 billion consent decree with the HHS Office of Inspector General for off-label promotion of Bextra and other products.
- Getinge AB – Represented the client in its cross-border acquisition of a medical device manufacturer with extensive intellectual property rights, including in core business lines of interventional cardiology and related vascular products.
- Ardent Health Services - Representation of two of five sites selected by CMS to participate in a demonstration project for bundled payments to hospitals and physicians; this demonstration program is a precursor to the National Pilot Program on Bundled Payments, which will be implemented over the next several years.
