| Biography | Anastasios A. Antoniou is a Cyprus Lawyer practising competition law and energy law. An Advocate of the Supreme Court of Cyprus, Anastasios acts as Cyprus Counsel for a plethora of multinational corporations and global law firms on competition law, oil and gas law, merger control and international law matters. He also appears before all Courts of Cyprus representing clients in high-profile cases involving corporate, energy, constitutional and human rights litigation. He is a Full Member of the Cyprus Bar Association and the International Bar Association (IBA) and sits at the IBA's Antitrust Committee. He is honoured with inclusion in the European Competition Law Forum, while he is also a member of the American Society of International Law, the British Institute of Comparative and International Law and the International Trademark Association (INTA). Following completion of his graduate and postgraduate legal studies in the UK, focusing on competition law, and after successfully defending his postgraduate research in international law, also in the UK, Anastasios held in-house counsel positions before being called to the Bar in Cyprus. As an Associate at a leading Law Firm he was a litigator in a number of high-profile corporate law cases and regularly advised Clients on energy law issues. He is today the Managing Advocate at Anastasios Antoniou LLC (www.antoniou.com.cy) a Cyprus Law Firm advising and litigating in competition law, oil and gas and energy law, financial services and investment funds law, intellectual property and international law matters.
