Andy is a member of the firm's Litigation Department and concentrates his practice in the areas of business as well as intellectual property litigation. He is involved in all aspects of business litigation in federal and state court, from drafting complaints and responsive pleadings to authoring appellate briefs. Andy has experience with motion practice and has had primary responsibility handling all aspects of discovery.
In addition, Andy has extensive experience with various proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He has been involved in all aspects of both Opposition and Cancellation proceedings, has extensive motion practice experience, has handled all levels of discovery and has handled numerous hearings before the Board.
Andy also maintains an active pro bono practice. Recently he successfully represented a client in a child abduction case for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, pursuant to the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Additionally, he recently briefed and is slated to argue a case on behalf of a habeas petitioner in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Andy joined the firm as an Associate in 2009 and prior to that he was a legal extern for Monsanto Company.

· Jones v. Norman, 633 F.3d 661, 8th Cir. 2011; successfully argued that habeas petitioner was unconstitutionally denied his Sixth Amendment right to represent himself at trial
