| Biography | Andy is the Vice Chairman of Mintz Levin and a member of the firm's governing Policy Committee. He served as Mintz Levin's Managing Member from 2004 to 2009 and as the firm's Assistant Managing Member from 1989 to 1998. His practice principally involves real estate acquisition, development and finance, and general corporate finance. He represents a variety of corporate and institutional enterprises in their regional and national transactions, including multi-state retail acquisition, leasing and sale leaseback transactions, health care facility financings, and joint ventures. Andy has also represented clients in the structuring and negotiation of acquisitions, conventional and hybrid debt financings, limited partnerships, and syndicated private offerings involving office projects, shopping centers, R&D facilities, and industrial properties, including properties with significant environmental issues. He has also worked closely with Fortune 500 companies on a variety of financing and joint venture arrangements, and in designing and implementing creative acquisition, leasing, and financing programs for substantial national and international corporate real estate portfolios. Andy, who practices in the firm's Boston office, is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and is a member of the American, Massachusetts, and Boston Bar Associations. In recognition of his professional achievements, Andy was selected in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer by Boston Magazine and in a stand-alone magazine, Massachusetts Super Lawyers, and as a New England Super Lawyer. In 2010 and 2011, Andy was also recognized in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business as a leader in the real estate field. He received his A.B., magna cum laude, from Dartmouth College (1971), where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce (1976), and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (1976).
