| Biography | Joined the litigation department of Samson & McGrath in 2005, and has since been involved in many of the most high profile criminal cases of the last 4 years, including the defense of companies, businessmen, former politicians and other professionals. Prior to joining Samson & McGrath, he was a barrister in private practice at the Chambers of Philip Singer QC, 2 Pump Court, Temple, London, where he prosecuted and defended in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal, both alone and as a led-junior, in general crime and complex conspiracies, fraud and money-laundering offences. Before joining 2 Pump Court, he worked at Peters & Peters, solicitors, where he was exposed to variety of white collar work, including extradition proceedings in both London and Dubai. Ben Tonner has also worked in Trinidad and Tobago, where he was involved in the successful appeal of sentences in the cases of death-row inmates before the Inter American Court of Human Rights. |
