Practice/Industry Group Overview
The issues surrounding construction law are both complex and fast-changing. Environmental concerns, politics and local economies are just some of the issues affecting the construction industry. The firm's construction law group represents owners, developers, design professionals, suppliers, contractors, architects and engineers in all phases of legal disputes.
The group's partners serve as general counsel to the Associated General Contractors of New Jersey, Inc.; the Construction Industry Advancement Program; and the New Jersey Society of Asphalt Technologists. Our lawyers have served as chair for four separate terms of the New Jersey State Bar Association's Construction and Public Contract Law Section. Partners in this group lecture at leading construction industry seminars. Our partners also serve as arbitrators and mediators for the American Arbitration Association.
The group's partners have decades of experience in handling all aspects of public bidding law matters -- including both litigation and dispute resolution and counseling clients in this area. We handle large construction defect cases and delay claims through litigation in state and federal courts, arbitration, mediation, and other alternate dispute resolution mechanisms.
We publish articles of interest to the industry on important legislation, case law and issues, and conduct construction and government contract seminars for clients.
