David J. Halpern is a member in the firm's New Orleans office. David practices in the business section of the firm, and for nearly 30 years has primarily handled general business litigation, commercial law and real estate matters. David's practice focuses on commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and zoning and land use. He also has a national liquor licensing practice. David has deep roots in the local business community. He has served on governmental advisory boards and represented businesses and individuals before state agencies. David is also active in the Louisiana State Bar Association where he has served as Chairman of one of the Disciplinary Board Hearing Committees (1990-1997) and has been reappointed to serve for a seven year term (2010-2017).
