David Reid is a senior partner of Davis LLP practising in the areas of securities law, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, mining law and related corporate and commercial transactions, including initial and secondary public offerings, bought deals, divestitures and all manner of business combinations. Mr. Reid has developed a client base consisting of major and junior mining companies, non-resource based companies, financial institutions, national and local underwriters, as well as public companies listed on the various stock exchanges in Canada and the United States.
Mr. Reid is a recognized leader in the Canadian mining bar and has advised mining clients on sophisticated Canadian and international mining transactions of all types, including options, joint ventures, royalties, mine financing, reclamation and mine closures for properties in such locations as North and South America, Eastern Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia.
Mr. Reid was formerly a partner of major law firms in Vancouver and Toronto prior to founding Reid & Company, a nationally recognized corporate finance and securities law boutique in 1995. Reid & Company was acquired by Davis in March 2002. Mr. Reid brings to Davis his extensive experience and his expertise in advising clients on numerous large and sophisticated national and international transactions. He plays a leading role in the Davis Securities & Corporate Finance and the Mining Law Practice Groups.
