Attorneys in the Franchise and Distribution Law Practice Group handle a variety of franchise and distribution matters, including litigation before federal and state courts and arbitration tribunals, class action and multidistrict litigation, obtaining or blocking preliminary and permanent injunctions, unfair trade practice and antitrust litigation, litigation involving state dealership protection statutes and copyright and trademark infringement litigation. The Group also handles numerous other aspects of franchise and distribution law to franchisors, franchisees, dealers, manufacturers and distributors, including drafting and negotiating franchise and distribution contracts, creating dealer-owned cooperatives, registering copyright and trademark, litigating related intellectual property issues, counseling on labor and employment law issues and commercial tax and real estate matters.
The Group's lawyers serve a broad spectrum of industries, including automotive sales, automotive aftermarket parts and service, pharmaceutical, restaurants, hospitality, food products and food distribution. Our lawyers have counseled clients and litigated matters involving emerging legal issues, including cases involving dual distribution and direct sales by franchisors, cooperative advertising funds and the pricing of products purchased by franchisees from franchisors.
