| Biography | Since March 2007, is Executive Director of the Legal Department for Business Transactions at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A., New York Branch, and BBVA Securities Inc. ("BBVA"). Mr. Edwards is a corporate, banking and finance lawyer responsible for the management of the in-house legal advice on all BBVA's transactional affairs. Prior to moving to BBVA New York, he was BBVA Chile's General Counsel for the Wholesale Banking & Asset Management division; General Counsel at Lan Chile Airlines; General Counsel at Minera Escondida Limitada (BHP Billiton) and senior counsel at the Central Bank of Chile. Mr. Edwards is admitted to practice in Chile and sitting to the NY Bar this July 2011. He received his J.D. from the University of Chile, cum laude, in 1986; has a LL.M. on European Studies received from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain), cum laude, in 1992, and has a LL.M. on Banking, Corporate and Financial Law received from Fordham University (New York), cum laude, in 2011.
