Eric Allon's principal practice areas are real estate law and business law, with particular emphasis on commercial leasing, the acquisition, management and sale of properties, financing transactions, commercial loan workouts and residential and commercial development. His clients include commercial landlords and tenants of retail and office space, private and institutional lenders, hotel and restaurant operators and brokers. Eric's clients often credit Eric's responsiveness and business acumen with maximizing their business opportunities and minimizing their financial and legal risks. When not at work, Eric is active in the community. He is a member of the North Shore and Cape Ann Chambers of Commerce and has served as a member of the Advisory Board of the Wheelock Family Theatre and a board member of Newton Youth Soccer.
Representative Matters & Significant Transactions
· Representation of landlords and tenants in complex lease transactions, including mixed-use properties, warehouse facilities, office buildings, strip malls, including drafting master leases for landlords and tenants
· Representation of companies and individuals in the purchase, development, management, financing and sale of commercial properties and businesses, including hotels, restaurants, bars, office buildings and retail properties
· Creation of condominiums and sale of condominium units
· Representation of sellers for $100 million dollar multiple hotel sale and associated 1031 acquisitions of several properties
· Representation of borrowers for $79 million dollar ten-year, fixed-rate mortgages on 8 hotel properties in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania
