Professional Experience
Eric Jones is Day Pitney's electronic information specialist. As a member of the firm's Information Resource Center, Eric assists the firm's attorneys in utilizing the Internet and other electronic resources in serving clients. Eric also serves as counsel to the firm's state tax practice. Eric has experience researching federal, state, and local tax issues, especially in finding difficult-to-locate information and in synthesizing and organizing information. To help the firm's attorneys locate useful electronic resources, Eric created the electronic resource library (ERL).
Before joining the Information Resource Center in January 2000, Eric served at the firm for more than three years as an tax matters associate. Among other activities, Eric contested state tax audits, prepared federal tax-exemption applications for charitable organizations, and participated in state tax litigation matters.
