Prior to the foundation of the Firm, he was a partner in Allende & Brea and head of that firm's Environmental Law Department. Advisor to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Human Environment, 1993.
He participated in the development of environmental policies for the City of Buenos Aires during privatization processes and in the making of several projects and ordinances.
He served the National Environmental Law Department to develop projects pertaining to the cleaning-up of contaminated rivers (Matanza, Riachuelo), where he was in charge of the design of regulations for the control of water pollution. Counsel Inter- American Development Bank in drafting an Institutional Environmental Program for Argentina.
In 1997 the Province of Neuquén selected him to coordinate an Environmental Institutional Strengthening Program and to develop comprehensive environmental legislation for the oil and gas industries.
In 1998 he was hired by the World Bank to organize and offer training courses to provincial mining authorities to implement the Environmental Protection Regulations for the Mining Industry in Argentina. He was also a member of the Advisory Committee of the Mining Policy Research Initiative of the International Development Research Center.
He has worked very closely with the American and Canadian law firms on mining and environmental issues in Latin America, and in 1998 he was co-founder of RIELA, an advisory system on environmental issues for clients with industrial transactions in several countries in the Americas. Since 2007 he is a member of the executive committee and in 2009 he was designated co-chairman of this organization
He was recognized as a leading environmental lawyer by Chambers & Partners and by Practical Law's publication "Which Lawyer? Yearbook". He has been included on the payroll experts of "Best Lawyers". He was also recognized as an expert in environmental law by "Who's Who Legal"
Recently he has been invited by the San Martín de Porres University in Lima, Perú for a panel of international environmental law experts in the Fourth Legal Cooperation Chinese Latin American Forum.
He has written several articles on his field of expertise, including special studies on oil and mining legislation as well as on the environmental implications in business transactions. He frequently lectures at conferences in Argentina and abroad, and teaches at Universidad de Buenos Aires, Universidad Católica Argentina, Universidad Austral and Universidad de San Andrés, and at many business associations and organizations. Regular speaker at conferences organized by the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, the American Bar Association, the Institute of the Americas, Government Institutions and the Inter-American Bar Association. Member of the Environmental Law Network (ELN) comprising law firms specialized in environmental law, most of them from the United States. President of the Environment Department Argentine of the Union Industrial Argentina, a businessmen organization, for the 2006- 2007 term.
