Gordon & Rees was founded in San Francisco in 1974 by Stuart Gordon and Donald Rees, both of whom maintain practices and are active in the life of the firm. Stu and Don created a firm with a unique culture, proven by the fact that many of the firm's lawyers and employees have not worked anywhere else. For example, Dion Cominos, the current Firm wide Managing Partner, was hired as a Summer Associate in 1986 and has spent his entire career at the firm.
