Mr. Crochet is the senior litigation partner in the Atlanta office of Kutak Rock LLP. He focuses his practice on complex business litigation, particularly in the areas of banking, finance, creditors' rights, securities, real estate and other contract-related disputes.
Mr. Crochet has extensive experience in the litigation and dispute resolution of a broad range of commercial, financial, insurance and employment disputes. As counsel for financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies, his practice involves numerous bankruptcy, lender liability, restrictive covenant, insurance, and a variety of employment matters. Mr. Crochet has represented major financial institutions, including large national banking associations, lenders, broker-dealers, real estate firms, leasing firms, landlords, technology companies and employers in actions involving a wide variety of legal issues, including breaches of contract and fiduciary duties, fraud, unfair competition, FDCPA, RICO, ERISA and wrongful foreclosure.
Having substantial jury and non-jury trial experience allows Mr. Crochet to provide counsel to business clients on litigation risk and avoidance as well. He is a registered neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution, and a certified arbitrator and mediator for numerous private and court-annexed Alternative Dispute Resolution programs. Mr. Crochet also is a member of the American Arbitration Association's National Roster of Neutrals.

Mr. Crochet has experience acting as defense, coverage and supervisory counsel in a variety of insurance matters, including employment practices, securities, professional liability, product liability, errors and omissions, directors' and officers' liability, title insurance and property claims. With regard to professional liability matters, Mr. Crochet has defended claims against attorneys, architects and accountants. His strong background in alternative dispute resolution allows for the successful resolution of insurance-related claims.

Mr. Crochet has substantial trial experience in federal and state courts, as well as in various administrative agencies, in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. He has been lead counsel in over 100 arbitrations and mediations in various private and court-annexed alternative dispute resolution forums, including the EEOC, AAA, NASD, NYSE and FINRA.
With respect to the employment law aspect of his practice, Mr. Crochet has represented employers in actions involving restrictive covenants, sex, age, race, national origin and disability discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, fair housing claims, and various state law claims including wrongful discharge, restrictive covenants, unfair competition and breach of contract. Mr. Crochet has defended a management company and related owner of multifamily housing against a discriminatory housing practices claim based on familial status by a prospective tenant under the Fair Housing Act. He also counsels employers with respect to employment and dispute resolution issues.
