Jacob Stone is an associate in the Business Law Group in Quebec City. His practice focuses on corporate and project financing, securities, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital in the mining industry and biotechnology fields as well as legal issues of a general nature concerning companies.
Before joining McCarthy Tetrault, Mr. Stone worked in the investment and services section of the Trade Law Division of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada in Ottawa.
Mr. Stone received a Juris Doctor (magna cum laude) from the University of Ottawa in 2011 after receiving a Bachelor of Civil Law from Universite Laval in 2009. Before studying law, he completed a BA (Honours) in International Relations with a Minor in Economics at Mount Allison University.
Mr. Stone is a member of the Canadian Bar Association. He was called to the Quebec and Ontario Bars in 2012.
