Jacob Stone is an associate in the Business Law Group in Québec City. His practice focuses on corporate and project financing, securities, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital in the mining industry and biotechnology fields as well as legal issues of a general nature concerning companies.
Before joining the firm of McCarthy Tétrault, Mr. Stone worked in international arbitration of investment disputes in the investment and services section of the Trade Law Division of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada in Ottawa.
Mr. Stone received a Juris Doctor (magna cum laude) from the University of Ottawa in 2011 after receiving a Bachelor of Civil Law from Université Laval in 2009. Before studying law, he completed an BA Honours in International Relations with a Minor in Economics at Mount Allison University.
Mr. Stone is a member of the Canadian Bar Association. He was called to the Québec and Ontario Bars in 2012.
