For more than 30 years, Jim Dwyer has represented market leading companies on some of the largest mergers, acquisitions and divestitures in the insurance industry. Jim advises clients on a full range of insurance transactional matters including company sales, mergers and acquisitions, reinsurance transactions, financing and securitizations, business transition and renewal rights transactions, administrative services agreements, collateral protection arrangements, insurance holding company act transactions, company governance and general corporate matters, and related regulatory and judicial proceedings.
Prior to joining Sutherland, Jim was a senior partner in Dewey & LeBoeuf's nationally recognized insurance M&A and regulatory practice groups. Over the course of his career Jim has been recognized as a leading practitioner in insurance transactional, regulatory and financing matters by numerous organizations.
