Jason R. Gasper is a partner in the Labor and Employment Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office. Areas of Practice Mr. Gasper represents employers in various labor and employment law matters involving state and federal wage and hour laws, wrongful discharge, employment discrimination and harassment, employee discipline and termination, and leaves of absence issues. Mr. Gasper specializes in compliance work, and conducts internal wage and hour and employment practices audits to identify potential employer liability before it surfaces in a lawsuit or government audit. When state and federal government audits arise, he regularly represents employers in those audits. Mr. Gasper also regularly represents employers in wage and hour class actions. Mr. Gasper also specializes in counseling employers on wage and hour issues, personnel policies and procedures, employee discipline matters, leaves of absence issues, WARN Act compliance, and labor and employment law issues that arise in corporate transactions. He also drafts and reviews employment contracts, commission and bonus plans, independent contractor agreements, and assists employers with other transactional issues.
