Mr. Markowicz, Managing Director of Markowicz International Law, is a licensed attorney in the State of Florida with vast practical experience in international law as well as international business transactions, international project management, international corporate finance, and international business consulting.
After living, working and studying throughout Latin America, California, Florida, Hong Kong and Mainland China, Mr. Markowicz developed a unique fusion of cultural sensitivity, global business acumen and practical legal skills, which he brings to bear in the representation of all of his clients. He is deeply committed to combining a global business vision with local legal execution to assist companies achieve their business goals in their international business projects.
Prior to establishing Markowicz International Law, Mr. Markowicz's worked in several international law firms where he gained significant experience in international corporate transactions as well as litigation. He has advised companies from all over the world on U.S. import and export matters, and has assisted these companies overcome local, federal and regulatory hurdles to meet the required compliance standards. He has also provided legal advisory and business services to U.S. companies on their business and investment ventures and business expansion plans, throughout Latin America and China, in projects ranging from assembly of plant facilities and franchising executions to international mergers and acquisitions.
In addition to his legal experience, Mr. Markowicz worked as a business, finance and project manager in Hong Kong, and Mainland China for over 2 years. He was the chief officer of a trading company that traded raw material and commodities from Latin America to China, where he was responsible for the synchronization of dozens of companies located in ten countries throughout the Americas and dozens of cities throughout Mainland China. In this capacity, Mr. Markowicz also conducted project valuations and financial analysis, and managed both the logistics of hundreds of containers and the administration of assembly and distribution centers.
These legal and business experiences provided Mr. Markowicz the opportunity to build a network of of-counsel professionals throughout the main centers in Asia and Latin America, who share the same passion for providing the highest level of professionalism to serve and connect the global business community.
Mr. Markowicz is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and the Court of International Trade.
Mr. Markowicz received his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Hebrew.
