| Biography | Mr. Lightner has been granted the distinction of an AV® Preeminent rating by the Martindale Hubbell Association, 5.0 out of 5, which is a reflection of the experience of the attorney, as well as high professional and ethical standards.
Since 2010 he has been selected for the U.S. News Best Lawyers in America®. He has been named a Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyer® since 2010 as well.
Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Lightner served as law clerk to the Honorable Russell G. Clark, Chief Judge, United States District Court, Western District of Missouri. In 1984, after completing his clerkship with Judge Clark, Mr. Lightner joined Ron Baird in private practice in Springfield, Missouri. From 1992 to 1999, Mr. Lightner served as a member of the Missouri Supreme Court Advisory Committee, which has responsibility for advisory opinions and overseeing the disciplinary process for the Missouri Bar.
