Jon has more than 30 years of experience representing public and private organizations. He provides general business advice and representation for owners, directors and managers; advises clients on legal issues governing relationships at the shareholder, director, executive and employee levels; assists clients with business contracts, risk management, codes of conduct and ethics; and advises and represents management in all aspects of labor and employment law, including policy and handbook development, regulatory compliance, compensation planning and administration, employee screening and hiring, collective bargaining, privacy rights, non-compete agreements and dispute resolution. He also has extensive experience in healthcare and technology law.
Prior to joining the firm as Partner in 2011, Jon served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and General Counsel for MSI Systems Integrators, Inc. He acted as key advisor to the CEO, COO, CFO and Board of Directors. In addition to his responsibility for legal matters, Jon also oversaw the planning and operations of the Employee Services, Leadership Development, Administrative and Facilities departments.
Jon served as a partner for a law firm in Omaha from 1979 to 2005. He acted as Chair of the Labor and Employment practice group and member of the firm's management and executive committees.
