Joshua Reid Hains

Josh Hains brings nearly 20 years of legal experience to his work as a family law attorney at Hollingsworth Law Group. He previously ran his own law practice, building strong relationships with clients who valued his calm presence, straightforward communication, and steady guidance during stressful times. Josh’s style aligns closely with “Divorce Done Differently,” blending strong advocacy with compassion and respect. His family law practice includes divorce, child custody and support, parenting time matters, spousal maintenance, adoptions, guardianships, protective orders, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Josh is committed to making sure clients feel informed and empowered, not overwhelmed, and he focuses on practical outcomes that protect both short-term stability and long-term peace of mind. Originally from Indiana, Josh earned his undergraduate degree in Economics with a minor in Psychology from Wittenberg University, where he played soccer and was active on campus. He earned his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2006. Over the years, he has also handled civil litigation and federal criminal defense, experience that strengthens his perspective and courtroom skills. Josh is active in community service through organizations such as the Volunteer Lawyer Network and Kids’ Voice of Indiana. He lives in Carmel with his wife, two daughters, and their dogs, cats, and a busy family life.
