Kate Findlay is an associate in our Litigation Group in Toronto. She maintains a general litigation practice, with an emphasis on commercial litigation, class actions, contractual disputes and professional negligence.
Ms. Findlay has represented a variety of clients including those from the financial sector, energy sector, construction sector, manufacturing and professional bodies. Ms. Findlay is also involved in medical defence work on behalf of the Canadian Medical Protective Association in civil and disciplinary contexts.
Ms. Findlay appears regularly before the Ontario Courts, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal. She has represented physicians on behalf of the Canadian Medical Protective Association before the courts, the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario, and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board.
Ms. Findlay was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009. She received her BA (Hons.), with high distinction, from the University of Toronto, Trinity College in 2005; a Master's of Public Administration from Queen's University in 2006; and her JD from Queen's University in 2008.
Ms. Findlay is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association and the Advocates Society. She is also actively involved in several charitable organizations.
