Kerry R. Callahan, a Principal and Chairman of the firm's Litigation Department, focuses his practice in the areas of insurance, commercial, professional liability and employment litigation. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and has appeared frequently before the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts and before the United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Attorney Callahan is certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has extensive experience in resolving disputes through arbitration and mediation.

Mr. Callahan received his J.D., with high honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law in Hartford, Connecticut in 1989. He was a member and editor of the Connecticut Law Review and received awards for scholastic achievement. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont in 1983.
Mr. Callahan is actively involved in the Connecticut and Hartford County Bar Associations. He serves as Co-chair of the Civil Litigation Committee of the Hartford County Bar Association, and as a director of the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association. He is a member of the Connecticut Business and Industry Association, and serves as a Fact-Finder/Arbitrator for the Connecticut Judicial Department. An avid fly-fisherman, he is also a member of the Farmington River Anglers' Association.
