Practice/Industry Group Overview

The Capital Markets practice is comprised of a core team of attorneys with experience in finance, tax, real estate and environmental matters related to Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS). Our team assists clients with origination of commercial real estate loans and the transfers to post issuance servicing, act as investors counsel, assist in restructuring and securitization of loan pools, and REMIC compliance.

Recent transactions include serving as lenders counsel for tenant in common syndication lending programs and the nationwide origination of over $8 billion in commercial real estate loans for placement in the commercial mortgage-backed securities market. The team acts as servicer's counsel in connection with the assumption of loans for multi-loan/multi property commercial mortgage portfolios.
