Mr. Thompson was one of the first consumer bankruptcy lawyers to be recognized as one of the "Best Lawyers in America". This publication recognizes and lists lawyers based upon the evaluations of other lawyers already listed in the publication. Approximately one in every 200 lawyers is listed in "Best Lawyers in America". Mr. Thompson is rated as "Distinguished" by the Martindale-Hubble attorney rating organization.
Mr. Thompson has had articles published in the Dayton Montgomery County Bar Association Bar Briefs magazine relating to the practice of bankruptcy law and its relationship to other areas of law such as domestic relations law.

Waldron American Bankruptcy Law Forum, which is an association of local bankruptcy attorneys and various other organizations relating to the practice of bankruptcy law, or to associations of individuals who practice in other areas of law regarding the impact that bankruptcy law has on their particular field of law.
