Practice/Industry Group Overview
Many of Loeb & Loeb's Trust and Estate Group clients are high net worth individuals and families who rely on our experience and expansive knowledge to guide them through the planning and administrative processes in order to meet their ultimate goals. We focus on our client's individual needs and desired disposition of wealth, analyze tax implications and formulate a tailored plan.
Planning for the efficient transfer of wealth among generations requires a broadvision and an in-depth knowledge of both income and estate tax law, often from a global perspective as cross-border wealth transfers and international activities become more prevalent. We become familiar with a client family's businesses and investment holdings in order to identify opportunities for the family to reduce both estate and income taxes as we work with the family to formulate a plan to transfer the family's wealth to succeeding generations.
Many large law firms have abandoned the practice of estate planning and virtually abandoned the representation of families. At Loeb & Loeb just the opposite is true. We have devoted substantial resources to enhance these practice areas. We are a firm that will always be available to represent high net worth families in connection with their legal needs.
We understand that a close attorney-client relationship is crucial when it comes to such legally complex, highly personal, and uniquely sensitive matters. By encouraging communication and interaction with our clients, we are better able to view matters in the context of each one's specific objectives, offer guidance as well as counsel, anticipate legal pitfalls, design preventive strategies and provide cost-effective solutions to legal needs.
Many of our successes are due in part to the interdisciplinary approach our team takes. We understand that planning for the efficient transfer of wealth among generations requires expertise in income and estate taxes. We also work closely with Loeb & Loeb's corporate, real estate and litigation teams when necessary to help to ensure that our client's goals are reached.
Leadership in Law
In addition to frequent speaking engagements, attorneys in our group author numerous articles in the areas of estate planning, administration and litigation and are adjunct faculty members. Many of us are actively involved in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and are frequent speakers in the areas of estate planning, administration and litigation.
