  • Acted for Den Danske Bank on its acquisition of Northern Bank and National Irish Bank from National Australia Bank
  • Acted for Goldman Sachs International on an initial private equity investment in Nordic Windpower, a manufacturer of two-bladed utility-scale wind turbines
  • Acted for Norsk Hydro on the sale of Norsk Hydro Magnesium Gesellschaft mbH (Germany) and Norsk Hydro Magnesium Xi'an Co. Ltd (China) to Varomet Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of Australian Straits Resources Ltd.
  • Acted for Reuters on its acquisition of EcoWin, a Swedish company specialising in global macroeconomic data and analysis, and subsequently in connection with certain commercial arrangements with the seller, Vinga
  • Acted for Cable and Wireless on its disposal of businesses relating to customers requiring domestic-only services in, amongst other countries, Sweden
  • Acted for Syngenta AG on its listing on the Swiss Stock Exchange, together with secondary listings on the Swedish and New York Stock Exchanges and the Official List of the UK Listing Authority
  • Advised Deutsche Post AG and Lufthansa AirPlus Servicekarten GmbH in its disposal of Trimondo GmbH to IBX Integrated Business Exchange AB, the Swedish based provider or procurement solutions and services
  • Acted for Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB and State Street Global Markets LLC (as conduit administrators and liquidity providers) in a €400 million securitisation of trade receivables originated by telecommunications companies located in Sweden and the US. This is a copurchase facility with JP Morgan and its assetbacked commercial paper conduit Park Avenue Receivables Corporation (PARCO).
  • Acted for Société Générale and KfW in relation to a financing for Telemar PCS in Brazil, with a loan facility being provided by Nordic Investment Bank, and a subsequent refinancing of the loan facilities
  • Acted for Wachovia on the first ever two year extendable note on Rule 144A offering of $2,000,000,000 Floating Rate Extendible Notes issued by Den Danske Bank
  • Acted for Merrill Lynch in connection with a Regulation S/Rule 144A offering of £500,000,000 aggregate nominal amount of Fixed to Floating Rate Capital Contribution Securities of Svenska Handelsbanken AB
  • Acted for AFLAC, the US insurance company investor, in connection with its US$60 million investment pursuant to Section 4(2) in Fixed/Floating Rate Non-cumulative Perpetual Step-up Capital Contribution Securities issued by Sparebanken Nord-Norge of Norway
