Bond Counsel: Since 1984, the firm has served as Bond Counsel for hundreds of financings involving the State of Alabama and numerous state entities, cities, counties, utility boards, boards of education, hospital boards, health care authorities, institutions of higher learning, industrial development boards and other public authorities.
Underwriter's Counsel: The firm also has served as underwriter's counsel for virtually every investment banking firm doing business in Alabama and in numerous other states as well. In that role, Maynard Cooper assists the underwriter with its due diligence responsibilities, and frequently provides structuring assistance based on the group's breadth of experience.
Compliance Counseling: The firm assists clients in navigating post-issuance tax and securities issues, such as determining permitted uses of bond proceeds, arbitrage and rebate compliance, and continuing disclosure.
