Professional Experience Mitch Harris is a trial attorney who represents clients and tries cases before courts and arbitral tribunals. He practices in the area of commercial litigation, with an emphasis on large-scale commercial and insurance-related matters. He counsels and represents corporations in complex contractual issues and disputes, with a particular emphasis on Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code. He also represents defendants in shareholder derivative and class action litigation, including securities and insurance-related class actions. In the insurance context, Mitch represents and advises insurance companies in a wide variety of matters involving all types of insurance coverage and bad-faith issues. Mitch also has extensive experience handling reinsurance disputes on behalf of cedents and reinsurers in the United States and internationally. In addition, he spends a significant amount of time assisting and counseling insurance companies and brokers in investigatory and regulatory proceedings, including investigations by Connecticut's insurance department and attorney general.
