| Biography | Professional Experience Ms. King is Chair of Manatt's Employment & Labor practice group. Her practice focuses on all aspects of employment law and related litigation. She represents companies in state and federal proceedings regarding discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge and related tort claims, privacy, workplace violence, wage and hour, unfair competition, medical and disability leave, health and safety matters and contract claims. Ms. King represents companies in a variety of industries, including financial services, health care, transportation, insurance, manufacturing and the service industry. In addition to judicial proceedings, Ms. King represents clients before various State and Federal regulatory bodies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the California Labor Commissioner's office. She is actively involved in arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings, such as private mediation. Ms. King also provides extensive counseling and training to companies on day-to-day issues involving employee relations, management training, policies and procedures, drug testing, discipline, discharge and harassment and discrimination.
