Bringing with her a strong academic background and practical experience in various areas of civil and trial litigation work, Ms. Devarakonda has practiced in both private and public sectors as well as federal and state court systems. Specifically, Ms. Devarakonda's past work experience includes serving as a Staff Attorney for the New Mexico Court of Appeals as well as for the Civil Division with the Second Judicial District Court, and as a Law Clerk to the Honorable M. Christina Armijo, United States District Court, District of New Mexico.

Ms. Devarakonda earned both a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting in 1988 as well as her Law Degree from Andhra University in India in 1992. Ms. Devarakonda then went on to earn her Juris Doctorate, Magna Cum Laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2000. There she also received the prestigious honors of being Order of Coif, as well as the Recipient of the Frederick M. Hart Prize for Excellence in Commercial Law and the Lead Articles Editor for the Natural Resources Journal.
