A. Lance Crick

Lance Crick joins Ryan Beasley Law, serving as Of Counsel to the firm. Prior to joining the firm, Lance spent twenty-one years working in the Department of Justice as federal prosecutor, specifically serving in the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of South Carolina. During his time with the United States Attorney’s Office, Lance served in a number of capacities to include Assistant United States Attorney, Project Safe Neighborhood Coordinator for South Carolina, Supervisory Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Greenville U.S. Attorney’s Office, Deputy Chief/Criminal Division (Violent Crime), Acting United States Attorney for the District of South Carolina, Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney, First Assistant U.S. Attorney in three consecutive presidential administrations, as well as Counsel to the U.S. Attorney on Strategic Partnerships. Lance brings his vast experience working with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies across the state as well his years in supervising and working with the Administrative, Appellate, Criminal and Civil Divisions of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in South Carolina to the firm’s existing and future client footprint.

As a federal prosecutor, Lance tried a number of federal cases to verdict, working alongside local, state, and federal agents and fellow federal prosecutors to include a federal death penalty trial. Lance also handled numerous guilty pleas and sentencings over more than two decades as a federal prosecutor.

During his career as a federal prosecutor, Lance was recognized with several national and state awards for his dedicated efforts and public service, to include two Honor Awards presented by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) at their headquarters in Washington, DC, U.S. Attorney Awards, and most recently, the SLED (South Carolina Law Enforcement Division) Chief’s Award presented in November 2022.

Lance is a recent past president of the Greenville Bar Association and remains active in the Greenville Bar.
