Biography

Aaron Goforth was born in Asheville, North Carolina, where he later attended Madison High School. Aaron speaks fluent Spanish and has studied the language since his freshman year in high school.

Having obtained his undergraduate degree in Spanish Language and Literature, Aaron Goforth graduated Summa Cum Laude from Garner-Webb University. While in college, Aaron Goforth studied abroad in both Alajuela, Costa Rica and León, Spain. After college, Mr. Goforth moved to León, Spain to continue his studies of the Spanish language before returning to Mars Hill, North Carolina to become a high school Spanish teacher.

Aaron Goforth left teaching to pursue his legal career in 2012. Mr. Goforth entered Campbell University School of Law where he served as an editor for the Campbell Law Review, competed in mock trial, and served as a teaching scholar for the legal research and writing department. He was awarded the North Carolina Advocates for Justice Calhoun Advocacy Award in 2015. Later that year, Aaron graduated third in his class and Magna Cum Laude.

Shortly thereafter, Aaron Goforth began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Wake County where he prosecuted misdemeanor charges including driving while impaired (DWI), driving after consuming under the age of 21, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, assaults, larceny, and various traffic violations. Traffic violations included hit and run, speeding to elude law enforcement, careless and reckless driving, school zone violations, speeding, and others.

Aaron Goforth joined Hatch, Little & Bunn in 2016 where he continues to use his prior experiences and skills to zealously advocate for clients charged with misdemeanors, felonies, infractions, and traffic violations. His fluency in Spanish enables the firm to serve clients not only in defense of criminal charges, but in matters involving personal injury, civil disputes, and other claims.
