Aaron McKinney

Mr. McKinney heads the firm’s Sacramento office. His practice focuses civil appeals and writ proceedings. He also consults and assists trial lawyers through all stages of litigation; he prepares and opposes dispositive pretrial motions and evidentiary motions, advises and crafts jury instructions, and assists with post-trial briefing and statements of decision.

Mr. McKinney graduated with distinction from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law. As a result of his academic achievement and repeated inclusion on the Dean's Honor List, Mr. McKinney was awarded membership in the Traynor Society. He was selected to be a member of the school’s renowned moot court program, and he represented McGeorge against law schools from across the country.

Mr. McKinney’s undergraduate degree is in biology, and he worked in the biotechnology industry before going to law school. Along with his juris doctor degree, McGeorge awarded him a certificate of concentration in intellectual property law.
