Biography

Abimelec “Abi” Vargas is an attorney in the San Bernardino Office of Borton Petrini. Abi received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School.

During his undergrad, Abi served as a tutor for children in Title I schools where he assisted children gain a solid footing in their reading and writing skills.

During law school, Abi interned at various placements including the LA County Alternate Public Defender, Southwestern Law School’s Immigration Clinic, and the Riverside City Attorney.

As an attorney, Abi primarily works in civil law matters. He is involved in all aspects of civil discovery including working with opposing counsel, clients, and insurance adjusters to resolve litigated matters.

Abi is fluent in Spanish and as an attorney plans to continue assisting members of the Inland Empire’s Spanish-speaking community in addressing their legal needs.

On his time off, Abi enjoys spending time with his friends and family, hiking, and trying out new places to eat in Los Angeles and Orange County.
