Biography

Adam is a highly accomplished attorney with a proven track record of litigating complex, high-exposure matters. His experience spans catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, large-scale construction litigation, trucking and transportation, amusement and sports, employment disputes, and insurance coverage matters. He has also handled claims involving general liability, municipal liability, property damage, and professional liability. Adam handles a significant amount of sports and amusement cases involving gymnastics training facilities, ice and roller skating rinks, and municipal sports departments, to name a few, and has successfully dismissed many of these cases.” In addition to his trial work, Adam is well-versed in appellate advocacy, having successfully argued before the Connecticut Appellate Court on issues such as res judicata, collateral estoppel, spoliation of evidence, and violations of the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act (CUTPA).

Before joining Marshall Dennehey, Adam practiced at a well-regarded insurance defense firm in Connecticut. Significant Representative Matters: Successfully defended a trampoline park in a personal injury action brought by a 17-year-old plaintiff who alleged she sustained a torn ACL during gymnastics training. The defense focused on the scope of duty owed by trampoline parks under Connecticut law and the enforceability of participant waivers. The matter also involved challenging the plaintiff's claimed status as a 'future Olympic figure skater,' including extensive discovery and deposition regarding her athletic background.; Defended roller skating facilities in multiple premises liability actions arising from patron fall-down incidents. Each case centered on the facilities' duties to patrons and was resolved through nuisance-value settlements.; Represented a municipality in a recreational injury case in which the plaintiff fractured his leg sliding into third base. Successfully obtained summary judgment, with the court finding the municipality owed no duty under the circumstances.; Defended hockey rink operators in claims arising from player altercations during games, alleging failure to intervene.
