Biography

“I take great pride in personally helping my clients secure meaningful compensation from responsible corporations, and product manufacturers, allowing them to move forward with greater comfort and stability after becoming ill.”

Adam Dreksler is a partner at Weitz & Luxenberg, bringing nearly 20 years of experience to his role. Since 2010, he has been an active member of the firm’s Asbestos Litigation group, where he works directly with individuals diagnosed with asbestos-related diseases. Over the years, Mr. Dreksler has assisted thousands of clients in pursuing compensation through the tort system, as well as asbestos trust fund claims.

Overseeing W & L’s Intake Team

In addition to his litigation work, Mr. Dreksler serves as the managing attorney of Weitz & Luxenberg’s Intake Unit, where prospective clients are first introduced to the firm. This unit includes field investigators who travel nationwide to meet individuals affected by prior asbestos exposure. Along with these investigators are experienced and compassionate attorneys, in addition to paralegals who handle our client cases.

Managing the Bankruptcy Unit

Mr. Dreksler is also the managing attorney of the firm’s Asbestos Bankruptcy Department. He is an active member of more than 20 Trust Advisory Committees (TACs). These committees oversee the trusts established by former manufacturers and sellers of asbestos-containing products that filed for bankruptcy. TACs provide oversight, and ensure that the trusts are administered properly.

Professional Background and Experience

Mr. Dreksler graduated with a B.A. from Syracuse University in 2006, earning a place on the Dean’s List four times for high academic achievement. In 2009, he received his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he earned a dual concentration in civil litigation and commercial law. While at Hofstra, he was also awarded the highest-level Pro Bono Program distinction (Gold Certificate) for completing more than 200 hours of volunteer work with the Kings County Attorney’s Office and the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Dreksler is an active member of the New York State Bar, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

He was named to the New York metropolitan area “Rising Stars” list for 10 years (2014 and 2016-2024), and was recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in 2025 by Super Lawyers.
