Biography

Adam Woody is among the most experienced, credentialed, and court-tested criminal defense attorneys in southwest Missouri. He brings the full scope of his expertise to every case that he takes, garnering a record that includes hundreds of dismissals and not-guilty trial verdicts for all crimes up to 1st-degree murder.

Despite his national stature, Adam has remained focused solely on criminal defense here in the Ozarks. As such, he knows every aspect of our local criminal court system, and has a reputation for his thorough preparation and courtroom demeanor. He is the President of the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a general member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also a general member of the National College for DUI Defense which is an invitation only organization consisting of members who have demonstrated outstanding skill and experience in the field of DUI/DWI defense.

Certifications & Achievements

Adam maintains board certification by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and has consistently been recognized as a top as a criminal trial attorney. He is a member of the Missouri Bar, the United States District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Missouri, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit. Adam studied Criminology, Psychology, and Global Studies at Drury University before going on to receive his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. He is also a 2013 graduate of the National Criminal Defense College’s Trial Practice Institute.
